Abstract: The initiative to set up guarantees for victims of crime to avoid secondary victimization has developed in France through the various manifestations of restorative justice that have put the victim in a central plan. These measures have been implemented through legislative reforms. The French criminal justice system offers a real response to the victims and effective possibilities of asserting their rights.
