Abstract: The present study examines the freedom of expression in the practice of the European Court of Human Rights, with reference to terrorist offenses, with the specific right to expression of the journalist, emphasizing the role of investigative journalism by attracting, in principle, a level particularly high protection, both against requests for disclosure of sources and against the challenges of slanderous processes.
