Abstract: Corporal punishments by and large and death penalty specifically raise serious problems as to respecting human dignity and the fundamental human rights. The supreme courts of the UN member states quasi-unanimously consider that the death penalty infringes on the absolute ban of torturing, inhuman or degrading treatments due to the pain and psychological suffering they cause to the sentenced people who may wait for years in a row or even decades, more often than not in isolation

Rezumat: Prezentul articol explorează subiectul pedepsei cu moartea și argumentele aduse în favoarea și împotriva pedepsei capitale din perspectiva unui chestionar adresat studenților la Drept din facultățile ce alcătuiesc Hexagonul Facultăților de Drept. Fără a avea pretențiile unui studiu sociologic complet, datele privind cele 2201 de persoane care au participat prin răspunsuri la chestionar, precum și răspunsurile oferite întrebărilor esențiale oferă o imagine nouă și particulară în legătură cu percepțiile asupra pedepsei cu moartea într-un stat în care, într-adevăr, o reintroducere a acestei [vezi tot]
