Abstract: A judge can be convicted for committing the crime of abuse in service by rendering a judgment
in violation of the law, if it was accompanied by the offense of taking a bribe. In other situations, the
conviction of the judge for the crime of abuse in the service by pronouncing a judgment, should be the
result of a very careful analysis of the fulfillment of all the typical conditions of the crime and of the
application of the principle of ultima ratio.
