Abstract: Settled by Title VIII of the Criminal Code General part, under the name „Causes that removes
or modifies the execution of criminal sentence” differ from the causes which removes the penal
responsability in that they do not prevent the exercise of criminal action, removing only the
execution of the penalty laid down by the Court by way of a conviction. They are, in general,
extinctive or legal acts modifying the criminal legal relationship.
In the next lines we will analyse the reprieve in terms of the concept, its dishes, its effects and
the conditions for revocation.
