Rezumat: În urmă cu două milenii Titus Lucrețius Carus* afirma: „Vitaque mancipio nulli datur, omnibus usu”, adică „viața nu este proprietatea nimănui, ci uzufructul tuturor”, atrăgând atenția asupra importanței valorii vieții persoanei sub aspectul succesiunii generațiilor și permanenței omului în lume.

Abstract: The offences against life are the most serious against the human being, because by committing them the human being is robbed of its most valuable right, which is life. That is why the actions directed against the human being were incriminated from the earliest times, always being sanctioned with a great severity.
