Titlul lucrării în engleză: The Novelty brought by Law no. 254/2013 on enforcement of Custodial Sentences
Abstract: On 1 February 2014 Law no. 254/2013 on execution of punishments and measures ordered by the court during the trial entered into force. The enforcement activity of custodial sentences is in line with the European recommendations, thus aligning the Romanian prison system with the European practice. As issues of novelty introduced by the new law we mention: the institution supervisory judge to imprisonment, electronic surveillance remote videoconference hearings, amendment limits the application of the arrangements for enforcement custodial, resocialization program adapted to each detainee, transfer and transport of persons convicted, release procedure, refusal of food, the right of detainees to have conversations online, volunteer activities with the convicted persons, access to university programs, conditions for granting parole, new types of rewards for prisoners, house arrest etc.
