Rezumat: În cadrul prezentei lucrări am examinat infracţiunea de uzurpare de calităţi oficiale aşa cum este prevăzută în noua lege penală română.
În cadrul examinării am avut în vedere examinarea elementelor preexistente, ale conţinutului constitutiv, precum şi examinarea precedentelor legislative şi a situaţiilor tranzitorii.
De asemenea, am procedat la examinarea comparativă a dispoziţiilor cuprinse în cele două legii, evidenţiind elementele de asemănare şi deosebire, utile procesului de individualizare a sancţiunii de drept penal.
Elementele de noutate aduse de această lucrare constau în examinarea infracţiunii prin prisma prevederilor legii noi, precum şi în opiniile critice şi propunerile de lege ferenda formulate.
Lucrarea poate fi utilă studenţilor şi masteranzilor facultăţilor de drept din ţară, precum şi practicienilor în acest domeniu (judecători, procurori, avocaţi).

Titlul lucrării în engleză: The offense of usurpation of official capacity
Abstract: In the present paper I have examined the offense of usurpation of official capacity, as provided by the new Romanian criminal law.
Analysis-wise, we considered the examination of pre-existing components such as the constitutive elements, as well as the examination of legislative precedents and transitional situations.
I have also proceeded to a comparative examination of the provisions contained in the two succeeding laws, highlighting the elements of similarity and difference, being useful for the process of sentencing.
The novelty elements of this work consist in examining the offense in the light of the new law, as well as in the critical opinions and de lege ferenda proposals.
The paper may be useful for students and master students of Law Schools throughout the country, as well as for practitioners in the field (judges, prosecutors, lawyers).
